I can see 2 Mary Cranleys on the Surrey side of the Thames in 1841, both give ages as 15 and are servants, one says not born Surrey the other says born Ireland ( as are many other of the Cranleys around London).
I think that will be as close as we can get to Mary before her marriage.
if we follow both of these we may be able to pick which one is ours

I'm still trying to sort Jane/Hitchens/Mynott/Sutton out.
Was Turner used as an alias, I have forgotten all of them?

Toni I have just this minute found William, leather cutter in 1901, he has a wife Annie and 2 youngish children, he was born Cambridge.
RG13; Piece: 394; Folio: 103; Page: 12.
So I need to see if Jane died or.....

if we looked for these in 1851 we might be able to see which one is ‘our’ Mary but as she is not with her parents in 1841 I don’t think it will help, unless she is with the Franklins also our Mary is fairly consistent with her y&p.o.b
so my money would be not the IRish one  :)

I can't see an obvious death for Jane Sutton at the moment. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mary Cranley, we had her marriage to Henry Hitchens?
I was thinking if we had her father's name and where she said she was born there might be a baptism which could lead to siblings etc.
