I'm looking for the birth of Ellen Brown, abt 1824 in Reading. Her father was a wood turner named John Brown. He was from Thatcham.

baptised 20 July 1823 Reading St Mary  Ellen Brown d/o John & Lucy.

I'm having a lot of trouble with Ellen... the 1841 census lists 2 Ellen Browns:

Ellen Brown, born abt 1824, living in St Helen, Abingdon, with William age 50, and other children Matilda, Charles, James and harriet

Ellen Brown, born abt 1829,  living in Thatcham, father John, mother Sarah, and other children Jane, George, Emma and Ann. This JOhn Brown is a wood turner, as was my Ellen Brown's father, per her marriage certificate to Charles Turner.

I am not sure how to go about making sure the Ellen Brown, daughter of John and Lucy is mine. Any suggestions??

Would anyone here happen to have access to the Thatcham parish registers? I have found 2 John Brown marriages:

John Brown & Anna Smokes
2 Nov 1803 - Thatcham

John Brown & Lucy Justice
11 Aug 1806

The 1841 & 1851 census records only show a John married  to Anna, however Ellen's birth has her parents as John and Lucy.

Were there two John Brown's in Thatcham?
