Edith LEE Born 25 Sept 1899 in Ware

Hi, is there anyone out there that could help me please with information on this lady. Edith was born in Ware, Hertfordshire in Sept 1899, not sure who her parents were as I have no money for subs to search the various sites. Edith is later found in or around the early 1940's in Streatham, London. She was with my grandfather George Richard Bryant. On some documents I have her name is given as both Lee and Bryant. They had two daughters Wendy born in the early 1940's and another daughter also born in the early 1940's who I cannot name as she is still living. I have contacted her but she is not willing to give me any info. I am trying to find out about my grandfather and also Edith. The two daughters are of course sort of my cousins. Wendy sadly passed on otherwise she may have been willing to assist me. George, my grandfather died in 1969 and Edith died in 1979.  Am trying to find out anything about Edith's life and of course my grandfather and am wondering if there is anyone out there still alive who are related to my people.

Have just found out that Edith's parents were William Lee and Edith Lee and they lived at 8 The Bourne, Ware.  Edith had an older sister Nellie by one year and an older brother William Jnr by about two years. Am still trying to piece together Edith's life though. 

Please contact me if anyone can help and if there is anything further I can assist with in trying to piece together this jigsaw then of course I will do so.

Hi Kathryn,

The 1901 census tells you Edith's mother's name.

I have given you the details of William Lee's marriage to Edith Peacock so if you sent for that marriage certificate, it would tell you more about them.

I am not sure from your original post whether you want to go further back or whether it is just Edith's life which interests you.

Have you found the family in 1911 census?
