1851 Lookup Great Catworth Please

Hi,

I am looking for the following family in 1851 in Great Catworth.

Thomas King Head m. b.?
Hannah King Wife m b. abt 1821
Rebecca Jane King dau b. 1848
John King son b. abt 1850

There may be other children, can't find anything on the IGI


Rebecca got married in 1873 and Thomas is shown as deceased labourer on the cert.

I also know that Hannah had re-married by 1881 (Hall)

Any help in locating this family would be greatly appreciated.

The 1851 has not, to the best of my knowledge, been released yet on CDrom so it's back to microfilm I'm afraid.

I looked on the 1861 and finally found what appears to be Joseph:

Maria Hall wife 44 b Molesworth Hunts
William Hall son unm 21 ag lab B Gt Catworth
Jane King dau unm 14 B Gt Catworth
Joseph King son 11 B Gt Catworth
Elizabeth Hall dau 3 B Gt Catworth

I couldn't see Rebecca in Gt Catworth though.

In 1871
Church End Gt Catworth
John Hall head marr 55 ag lab b Gt Catworth
Maria Hall wife 55 b Gt Catworth
Joseph King son 21 ag lab B Gt Catworth

But in 1881 it was John Hall and wife Hannah with Joseph 30. I'll leave interpretation of this to you!

Did Rebecca marry Henry Hewitt?

Another tangled web!

I think the Jane you have is probably Rebbecca Jane King who to answer your last question married Thomas Walter Wootton at The Baptist Chapel, Mill Street, Bedord in 1873. Her address is said to be Woburn Road, Bedford. I think I have found her in 1871 (Siver Street Bedford) but again she is down as Jane..  perhaps that was what she was known as, however she was always Rebecca once married.

As for Mother Hannah? Perhaps again two names involved. I try and look into it.
