EVISON BANKS marriage 1803, children, occupation
« on: Tuesday 26 January 10 11:47 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for details of the marriage of John Dorr EVISON (widower) & Isabella BANKS c 1803
Have found on IGI but looking for more info
Isabella EVISON (nee BANKS) was buried in Bradden in 1813

Did Isabella and John Dorr EVISON have any children?

Also interested in John Dorr EVISON's occupation.  He moved to the Isle of Man about 1798 from a small village in Lincolnshire I'm trying to find out why he moved - for family or work reasons?

Any leads would be very much appreciated

all the details are in parrish reg (you can rent film of the copy of these from any LDS fam hist centre) - 1803 marr jde widowr;both braddan;sp lic (ie from the Bishop they were possibly marrying in a closed period, out of parish as in this case as they married in Michael ,  or wanted  a quick marriage - most Manx married by licence (banns seldom used) witnesses william banks;eliza banks;hy kewley

There are burials for Anne Evison als Harrison Braddan 17991212 + 3 ch (see http://www.iomfhs.im + follow research link)
Isabell appears to be buried Braddan 18130108 age 32 - there are wills for both  again on mormon microfilm see pre link for will index + an MI for Anne see http://www.manxnotebook.com/manxsoc/msvol14/mem18.htm

Wow
Thanks Frances_mnb

I can't access the LDS records in person because of where I live so these details are terrific
Thanks too for the wills link

I can only find burials for two EVISON children at Braddan - George & Christopher.  Can you give me the info on the other please
