Silkstone Parish Record Look Up

Hi - I am looking for help with finding the birth of Mary Dyson born c1824 Thurgoland and that of her parents.  On her marriage certificate her father is James Dyson and I think her mother was possibly Ann Wadsworth. I am guessing James was born c1800, probably Thurgoland also and died about 1830/31.

Any information very gratefully received.

I couldn't find any mention of either Mary Dyson or James Dyson around those dates.  I looked 5 years either side but couldn't find them, sorry

I wonder whether you have tried searching for the baptism in St Leonard's,  Wortley, PRs.  PRs for Holy Trinity, Thurgoland start in 1843, so I presume that was when the church was built.  Thurgoland is nearer Wortley than Silkstone, even though it may have been in the parish of Silkstone.  I know Sheffield Archives have Wortley BTs from 1604 on fiche, but Barnsley archives don't have them - at least, they didn't when I enquired a couple of years ago.

Another possibility is Penistone, especially if the home was on the west side of Thurgoland village.
