William Gibson - Upton, Lincs

Trying to locate any information on a William Gibson.

Don't know much about him other than he had a son George B. abt 1789 in Upton, Lincs.

The only other information i have been able to find is William's wifes name - Jane.

If anyone has any local information / knowledge or could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.

I think William married a Mary too -but he moved to Yorks

They're living in Warmfield cum Heath (Wakefield)

Nice to add more detail and confirm a few loose ends. William's brother George is one of my Gx4 Grandfathers

When I was researching at Lincoln archives a while ago, I discovered a death record at Alford from the 1820s of a Gibson an itinerant glass worker, who was buried at Alford. I gave the details to Doncaster Family History Society for inclusion in their strays index.Can't remember his Christian name if recorded, or any other details, but it was published in the DFHS Magazine, period 1998-2005. It was the Yorkshire connection that made me tell DFHS

Thanks the George and Mary marriage would be right as their first son Thomas was born in 1813. The other one is certainly worth looking into further
