What did Samuel Hill do in WW1

Samuel Hill   Born 1897 in Stilton (Farcet) Huntingdonshire   Died1976 in Coneygree Lodge Stangound Peterborough. On death cert occupation was van driver (retired).

I am trying to find info on the above during First World War.

Any help I would be grateful.

I can't find a Samuel Hill with a Hunts address in the WWI service records. Who would his next of kin have been?
