Hi All
Willlam Henry Wrack was an adopted child who was married on 30/12/1922  at St Georges Scunthorpe. His wife was Lily. He was adopted sometime before 1901. He died on 22/3/1938 at the memorial hospital Scunthorpe. At the time he was listed at being 45.

Any help or information I would be grateful

Wrong surname, wrong age, wrong middle initial, wrong part of the country ...

So probably a complete red herring!

But maybe worth a look

I would have thought that WRACK would have been the name he "acquired" from adoptive parents rather than the name he was born with.

I can see a William H WRACK aged 12 in 1901, born and living in Ashby, he was in the same place in 1891.  I can't see a William H WRACK in the birth index though.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

He died on 22/3/1938 at the memorial hospital Scunthorpe. At the time he was listed at being 45.

Is that commensurate with his age at marriage?

What is the evidence for his "adoption"?

Hi PaulineJ
I have this information from my cousin in Scunthorpe. I was hoping to help find his birth for her. I have not seen the marriage certificate so do not know his age on it.  The surname of Lily was Morley. I found this out after putting the message on Rootschat. This is only hearsay from the family in Scunthorpe.

Many thanks for your help
