Lovelocks in LLanferres
« on: Monday 08 February 10 09:50 GMT (UK) »
I think it may be possible a Gr.Gr. aunt and uncle may have been born and maybe baptised in LLanferres. Their names are Margaret Alice b. 1872 & John Lovelock b. 1874. Can anyone tell me the name of the church in LLanferres and where the records are held?

Thanks.

Thanks for that.

One more question:

Margaret Alice Lovelock b. 1872 in ? LLanferres. Dau.of Thomas & Sarah Lovelock. In1871 census Tho.& Sar. are still in Wiltshire. Thomas is an ag.lab,  but a year later they have moved all the way up to North Wales. There are no other Lovelocks in N. Wales until this family arrived. Why would a family of labourers move so far away?

I didn't have much time but I found the baptism of John Lovelock s/o Thomas & Sarah Ann May 10 1873 Llanferres. Thomas was a Labourer.

Paul.
