Richard Henry BEARE-not mine?

Some time ago a number of people helped me to find  a Richard Beare who arrived in Australia in Sep 1882.  He was a Miner aged 18, boarded at Plymouth and was contracted to disembark in Sydney.

This then led to a Richard  Henry Beare who married Mary Elizabeth Jenkin in Beaconsfield in 1891 and unfortunately today after looking at the IGI I found that this Richard Henry was born in 1865 at Beaconsfield.

This is disappointing because I found so much information about this man.

My Richard Henry Beare was born in Cornwall to James and Hannah Beare and there is information about him and his family on the Cornwall Board.

So easy to take a wrong turn ! I have done it a couple of times. It always pays to check everything at least 3 times to be sure.
Are you still looking for "your" Richard Henry BEARE ?
When was he born ? Do you have any idea which state he came into and about when? What his occupation was?
I have had a quick look..
South Australia-
Richard BEARE d 12.6.1888 aged 37  - Never Married- Relative:  Lily Williams { NC}[ can't find what this symbol means]  Residence : St  Lenards. Place of Death: St Lenards.  District: Adelaide  Book 171 Page 310
There was only one Richard BEARE death in NSW:
Richard J BEARE d 1909 Randwick-parents William F and Susan

I have no idea where Richard Henry is and now I am only going by the information that I had regarding someone with the same name boarding at Plymouth in 1882. Plymouth is the next county to Cornwall,England  where Richard was born.

A brother to my Richard ( George) has been found in Rockhampton,Queensland.
I have posted  information about the Beare family on the Cornwall posts in the past and most likely other boards as well.

There is no Rockhampton Victoria that I am aware of and I live in VIC

Hi maryanne.

The IGI entry is only a submitted entry so may not be correct.I cannot find a birth for a Richard Henry Beare in Tasmania on our Pioneer Indexes.
A Richard Henry Beare is buried at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery Hobart.
Buried 19/11/1936 aged 73 years.
Next of kin Mary Elizabeth Beare (wife)
There are a few Beare surnames buried here.

The only way to know if this is your Richard Henry Beare is to apply for his death certificate.

John Girl:As you will see from my other posts I have had a lot of information which led me to think that it was him until yesterday when I looked at the IGI.
Who submits the entries?

Looking at the will dated Dec 1982 I see that Vera the widow of Alfred son of Richard  had 1 son and 2 daughters .

Is it possible that I would be able to find information abou them and contact them.

Hi Maryanne,

I have checked the phone directorys for Tasmania and cannot find a listing for the Beare surname
I did however find that the son and one daughter that you found in the will are both buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery Hobart.
The other daughter who may well be still living is not of course under the Beare surname. I checked the phone directorys under her married name but it would be impossible to find her as we have no idea what her husbands first name is.
Tomorrow afternoon I have to take youngest son to Soccer which is right next to the Cornelian Bay Cemetery.    Hopefully by the time I`m there it is still open. I know they close the gate at a certain time.Hopefully I won`t get locked in. I will check to see if there is a headstone and see if there is a clue for you about this Richard Henry Beare.
If its closed I will take a trip down next week early in the day and take a look when I know I won`t get locked in.
The submitted entries are submitted by other researchers who may or may not have checked the original records.
Extracted records are more reliable as they are taken from the actual church records.
