thanks diddymiller,   I found the other 2 children b. 1790 alice, william b.1792, when I got Richards details b. 1808, it stated he was the 4th son, so I only have william & Ralph.  Do you know of an other son.
Also trying to find parents ralph & Mary's birth,  Ralph b.at Unthank nr stanhope durham, & Mary b. in Hetton durham.  As son Ralph worked or owned a Farm throughout his life, possible his father also was a farmer, & Unthank was not a very big place.

Hi Alan NZ

nice to hear from you, but not sure we are looking for the same Kirtley family, which area did they come from?   It is Ralph Kirtley b. 1795, who  had children with Dorothy smith but did not marry her.

Ralph 1795
William 1804

I'm looking for Henry Ferrys parents...haven't figured out the Kirtley connection yet, or what kind of "uncle" Ralph is.
