Francis (Frank) Herbert Bentley

Can anybody help to trace what happened to a Francis(Frank)Herbert Bentley and descendants/siblings, he was born April 1896 Mile End London England.His mother(Elizabeth Matilda) migrated to Canada in 1904 with the rest of the children (Alfred,Albert,Archibald and Elsie. The 1911 census reveals that Frank was not registered yet he enlisted in July 1915 in Montreal stating his next of kin(mother) living at 11, Concorde St Montreal with the rest of the family.He came to England and was stationed at Folkestone stayed for a while after the war and i believe went back to Canada

i could find only one francis bentley born mile end 1898 london but the mother is a  phoebe bentley born Leyton, Essex, England in 1864 and a francis bentley born Leyton, Essex, England in 1866 there is elsie bentley born mile end 1895 and winifred bentley born mile end 1897 and stanley bentley born mile end 1900

There is a death for Herbert Bentley, labourer, of Bishops's Crossing, Wolfe County, Quebec who died in the protestant Hospital Sherbrooke, Quebec on 28 June 1930 and is buried Lakeside Cemetery Bishop's Crossing.  Wit: Albert H.(?) Bentley  (Bury United Church)

Most of the Bentley records in the Drouin collection are indexed under the surname only so it's a matter of sifting through them.  Haven't found a shipping record for his re-entry into Canada.

Archibald Frederick Bentley, accountant of Montreal, s/o (as previously entered) married Kate Phyllis Mennenga 20 Nov 1928 Calvary Church Westmount Montreal.

They had 2 children baptized St-Lambert (Chambly) Anglican.  Since their births are in the 1930s I will send you their names in a PM.

Charles Bryce Bentley, clerk, Montreal married Hilda Sylvia Johnson 12 Sept 1936 St. Marks Church Longueuil.  Wit: Douglas Albert Bentley  They had a daughter C.A. Bentley.  At her birth Charles Bryce was a purchasing agent.

Elizabeth Edna Bentley married 2 Sept 1939 St. marks Church Longueuil to alfred Henry Medynski (hosiery knitter of Westmount Montreal)

Douglas Albert Bentley, clerk married 23 Sept 1939 to Jean Florence Browning at St. Marks Longueuil.  Wit: Gordon Allan Bentley and Dorothy Winnifred Bentley

John Eric Bentley, mechanic in the Royal Canadian Air Force, married Doris Taylor Allen of bayfield, N.B., aircraft seamstress in St. Marks Longueuil Dec 25, 1941

When I emailed the names of the children born in the 1930s I indicated that there were records of children born to Frank Bentley and Zepherine Martin/Maxime in 1916 and 1917 but registered in the Catholic church of Montreal St. Zotique.

There is an entry in these directories for a Z. Bentley, widow in the early 20s.

There is a marriage in 1914 in the parish referred to by Debbie for a Joseph Francis Bentley and Marie Severine Martin (she signed her name as Zepherine Martin). Joseph Francis was the son of John Buckley and Jane Cockshire. This would appear to be the wrong couple.
