Post 1858 wills
« on: Wednesday 10 February 10 15:36 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if some kind soul could point me in the right direction.

I am looking for the will of Thomas Wickham Jarvis of Dale Hill Farm in Ticehurst who died 26 October, 1878.

There seems to be a lot online for 1858 and prior but I am drawing a blank for anything post 1858.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Wills after 1858 are dealt with by the Principle Probate Registry. Go to http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/1176.htm

Thanks for the web site.

He was a farmer.
I believe it was a large farm employing several men, according to the census.

Thanks for that.

I have most of it already, The Weald is a great site and has been helpful to me in the past.

I have Thomas's mother's will and also that of his son that I am descended from, just thought it would complete the picture if I could locate his will.

I will try sending to the address on the site previously mentioned and see how I get along.

Thanks for all the kind help.
