Have you got a name, or anything that might narrow it down. Looked at Clynnog in 1851, and find that there are 6 sub-districts to look through and looking through the original pages is extremely slow.

At Hendre Cennin I am looking for the Hughes family, Hugh Hughes in particular, and at Graianog I am looking for the Roberts family - John Roberts in particular
Thanks

I seem to recall seeing a reference to 'Hendre Cennin' in Ceiri Griffiths's  book on Caernarfonshire ancestry.

Hugh Hughes is to be found on the 1841 census at Hendre Cennin, aged about 12; ref. 107/1391/5. References to Hendrecennin (as the author spells it) in T. Ceiri Griffith's book are many; your Hugh Hughes is in table 95.

Thanks Pinot & Huwcyn for the replies.
What exactly is this book by T. Ceiri Griffith's book - sounds interesting
Any ideas where I can get a copy?
Thanks again for your response
