sparrett...oops  yes that makes sense...when I looked up birth of Christina..parents came up as Agnes Turner and Duncan McIntyre...got a tad confused .. ::) so many names spinning in my head...I just assumed they were married...sorry...
I was told...long ago by my mother..that the McDonalds of my line were decended from Glencoe...and I did see a Mary Campbell and Duncan with a Christina..from the Glencoe area..but I thought the date wrong..where Agnes fits in with Christina birth date, providing that is correct...I have sent for a marriage certificate..have to wait for post...will that tell me parents of the bride ???
Cando was very helpful with her find also...appreciate that. :)

Hi Dalek,

You need to put the name DONALD MACDONALD JUN 1850 Inverness, Scotland into the search with the parents names JOHN MACDONALD & MARJORY MCKENZIE otherwise the record won't come up.

Marriage of Christina MCINTYRE's parents:

DUNCAN MCINTYRE married AGNES TURNER on 20 JUN 1851 at Barony, Lanark, Scotland.

You already have Christina's birth that cando posted previously.

Dalek I would suggest that when searching on IGI for a birth record that you enter just the name of the person whose record you are seeking, year of birth, two year range, name of father and surname of mother, Region and country....I don't post the shire unless there are too many hits.

I never search using all the information taken from a death registration.  Invariably there are inaccuracies.

In this case I searched Donald McDONALD b. 1851 =/- 2 years, father John McDonald and mother's surname McKENZIE...Region British Isles and Country Scotland...     You will get two results, a birth in Perth and another in Inverness.  There is no need to search using MacDONALD.  You can refine your search further if there are too many hits.

You can search yourself for the marriage of John McDONALD and Marjory McKENZIE...it is there ;D  Perhaps try and find the record yourself ;D.  There are two records....I would note only the extracted record.  I tend to ignore submitted records.

Cheers
Cando
