When bernard cain [ the father died in 1957 in vancouver, death cert states informant constance cain [ sister ] so does this mean his wife May florence was not a live, and would there be a census in which i can check where the children are and where constance came from, because all bernards other sibblings were born liverpool england

The 1930 Census is the latest federal census that has been released.  The 1940 Census is due to be released in 2012.

It's a little unclear from your post, but if the children are of the age where they might still be living, their names would need to be removed from your post.  Thanks.

Not necessarily. There could be a number of reasons why his sister was the informant. If his children didn't live in Vancouver, if his wife was ill or too overwhelmed to see to the registration, etc.

Hi
I have just found out bernards cain's wife May [ nee porter } died Aug 31 1948 Toronto Ontario
is there a way i may be able to get details of death record please,
and  would i now search for a passanger listing for costance cain , if she was like it says his sister then she may have been born in england after 1903 liverpool maybe, although thinking back i have viewed 1911 england census and she wasnt on it with the family of cains, i am finding this all very confusing,,,

Maybe you'd have better success with asking about the Ontario death information on the Canada board.

The 1930 US census shows Bernard's surname as CANE (b abt 1894 New York of Irish-born parents) and his wife's name as Mae.

Did the family spell the name CAIN (as you have it) in other records that you have seen?
