Just wondering if anyone who visits Market Harborough library could possibly carry out a look up for me.
I am after an obituary for my Great Grandfather Frank Banbury.
I`ve obtained his death certificate which reveals he died 4th December 1952 in Ullesthorpe. I have also found out that he is buried at St Marys Church in Lutterworth.
I have recently contacted the Leicester Records Office who forwarded me copies of his burial details and death notification from the Leicester Mercury (although the death notice appears to have been paid for and arranged by one single relative at the time ). I was hoping for an obituary but unfortunately they couldn`t find one. The LRO have suggested that it is more than likely an obituary would have been placed in the Harborough Mail.
Would be great to hear from anyone who is able to check the Harborough Mail at the library when they are next that way
