Horsham St Faiths - Burdett lookup please

I'm looking for details  a marriage for William Burdett, about 1829-30 in Horsham St Faiths
William was born 16 Mar 1809 in Beeston and baptised 19 Mar St Marys, Sprowston
His wife was called Susan born c 1811 possibly Horsham St Faiths
Two known Children
William Burdett, baptised 5 Sept 1830 Horsham St Faiths
Eliza/Elizabeth around 1833 Horsham St Faiths

by 1851 they had migrated to London (I have all census details)

also, if the marriage is found, also looking for the baptism of Susan and their daughter Eliza

William Burdett married Susan Stimpson 9 Aug 1829 at Norwich St. Saviours
there is also a marriage for a William Burdett to Elizabeth Chapman 11 Mar 1832 at Horsham St. Faiths.

Its definitely the William Burdett who married Susan I'm after.  I have seen the William/Elizabeth Chapman marriage before and I'm not sure who he is, probably joins the family a little further back.

My William also had a son called Willam who married am Eliza/Betsy Chapman in 1849 in Horsham St Faiths.

Did you manage to find what you was looking for. I am one of many thomas burdett’s from Williams line of the family I was born in tottenham London and now currently live not to far from Norfolk

Nice to meet a family member... my mother-in-law was the Burdett, youngest granddaughter of George Burdett 1860-1927 and Emma Murfet 1861-1887. They lived in Tottenham too. The family moved out of Tottenham in the late 1930's.

This is a very old post and I have moved on quite a bit since then.

Please PM me if you want to swap notes.  My husband has also done an Ancestry DNA test if you want to confirm your line.. or perhaps you have already done it.

I am new to this site so I am just getting started. But I would really like to know more about the burdett family as we do seem to be a bit scattered around parts of the country but always seem to come back around the Norfolk area.

Our Burdetts moved out of Tottenham when George Burdett joined the Army and was stationed at Woolwich. He was a very good footballer and played for Arsenal (Goalkeeper) in the days before it was a profession and the RFA team. He is in the Emirates Hall of Fame  He left the Arsenal when he was stationed abroad for a year.
He and his family later moved to Bournemouth.

That is a great piece of history I never knew about. but it certainly explains the footballing gene within my family most of us are spurs fans but there is also a few arsenal fans among us which will really please them to know that George played for arsenal thank you again for sharing the information with me
