Harry Saunders, son of Charles, Thrupp, Berkshire

I am trying to find a baptism of my ancestor, Harry Saunders.  From his marriage entry:

Marriage at St. Mary, Nantwich, Cheshire 11 August 1856

Harry Saunders, Full age, Bachelor, Tailor, residence at time of marriage, Wyche House Bank, son of Charles Saunders, Horse Dealer, Deceased
to
Charlotte Brooker, Full age, Spinster, Wyche House Bank, dau. of Thomas Brooker, Coachman

From the 1871 census, he gives his birthplace as Thripp, Berks (which I presume to be Thrupp).  Unfortunately, in the 1861 census, he gives his birthplace as Cheltenham, Gloucs, so I am trying to investigate each place.

From the census, he would appear to have been born about 1829.

Can someone tell me if he had been born in Thrupp, which would be the parish church?

Can't help much but I think Thrupp is in Gloucestershire.
Hope that doesn't confuse even more!

It is much more likely to be Thrupp just outside Abingdon which is now in Oxfordshire but was in Berkshire.

It's worth having a look under the appropriate county (towns and parishes) here:

There appears to be a Thrup in Oxfordshire and and Thrupp in Berkshire and Thrupp in Gloucestershire (see Stroud) ....  :-\

Many thanks indeed for all the speedy replies regarding Thrupp.  I thought there was only one:-((   I'll start with Thrupp in Berkshire and Gloucestershire, and work on from there.  He obviously doesn't want his origins found yet!!

There are actually two places called Thrupp in Berkshire.  One is close to Abingdon and is in the parish of Radley, and the other is in the parish of Great Faringdon.  Neither was a parish in its own right and therefore had no registers so you will need to look for baptisms in the registers of the mother parish.

Thrupp, Oxfordshire, is in the parish of Kidlington.
