I am looking for Walter Hemms/ Hems born in 1867 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, an iron turner. He married to Eliza Bromwich in 1879. They have a son Walter Edwin Hemms born in 1880.

On 1881 census, Eliza and Walter Junior lived with Bromwich family. Walter Senior was not with them.

Where was Walter Senior gone to? Family rumour says he have gone to Australia.

Can't have been born 1867, surely, given the rest of the dates?

On the marriage certificate, what was his father's name, what was his address, and who were the witnesses?
Do you know what happened to the rest of his family (parents, siblings, etc).
