Hirons from Banbury
« on: Monday 22 February 10 21:40 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to trace my Great Grandfather Thomas Hirons and his relatives.  So far I have the following information:
•Thomas Hirons was b. 1874 in the Banbury area.
•Thomas married Elizabeth Ward (although I haven’t been able to trace their marriage record). Elizabeth was from Halesowen.
•Thomas and Elizabeth moved to Head Street, Pershore where Thomas died in 1911.
•Thomas and Elizabeth had 4 children: Bertie (b. 1895 who may not have been Thomas’s son), Mary Ann b. 1901, Arthur and Frederick.

I have found a Tom Hirons on the 1881 Census living at 6 Cross Cherwell St, Neithrop, Oxford, with mother Mary Ann and brother Arthur and Frederick. Is this the same Thomas? I have yet to call for his birth cert. which I think must be the best way forward.

If they are the same I believe Thomas was the son of Charles Hirons and Mary Ann Hayward. Charles died before 1881.

Has anybody come across Thomas Hirons or can help prove that my Thomas and Tom Hirons are one and same person and the son of Charles and Mary Hirons?

Thanks.
 :)

Hi
I am not sure if this will help but by coincidence I have just added an Hirons to my tree today.

Elizabeth Hirons B 1857 Wardington, d o George Hirons B 1825 of Wardington. She had a daughter Kate Hirons B abt 1877.
Elizabeth married James Waters from Middleton Cheney in 1880 Q3 v3a p1127 Banbury. They had at least 5 children.

May fill in a piece of your puzzle?
