Just to narrow it down - in 1891 he's down as Charles Wm Johnson age 9.

Still leaves at least 2 possible birth registrations I suppose:

Just a red herring, but there was a Charles William Lingard JOHNSON born/bap 1876/78 Lincoln, son of John and Charlotte

You had be worried then. The name is Andrew George Johnson Charles Johnson is the 2nd son of Andrew and Margaret.

There is another in Caistor Charles Henry L Johnson Sep 1882.

My mistake -  the 1871 marriage IS Andrew GEORGE Johnson

I dont want to nitpick Bob...but the address is 16 FILDES Street..not Tildes Street

There is another marriage for a James Alfred Johnson of 16 Fildes Street Grimsby in 03/08/1895 with father Andrew George  a Mariner
