Hi all new to the site and would like to share my knowledge in British military history,i would like to help anyone who is resarching there family history through the British armed forces i  have loads of information which may be a help to you. hi biggles welcome to roots chat wouuld you know anything about A coy.4th bn northumberland fusiliers  action around 27 september 1915 my 2x great uncle 10630 dennis kenny he died 27th and is remenbered on the loos memorial.

Hi NEILKE  my records show  the Battalion postings during the the First World War hope this helps you
4th August 1914 Hexham Northumberland Brigade, Northhumbrian Div.On Tyne Defences till April 1915 and then was to France 14th May 1915 formation became the 149th Bde 50th Divison on the 15th July 1918 reduced to Cadre and then to the Dieppe area 16 August 1918 to 118th brigade.39th Division and then stationed at Harve was disbanded  10th Nov 1918.I will to research more about your great uncle if you like.

thank so much i allways knew of him and found him on cwg site i did a bit research trying to find out about the battle he may have been in but come up with nothing i wish my dad was still alive he would have realy like to know these things he was named dennis to.
