Please could anyone tell me , Were there any US Military in the Oxford & or Sussex UK Areas during early 1948?
could they have been there because of the Berlin Airlift?I would appreciate any Information anyone may have

Try posting this question on the "Armed Forces" board...perhaps people keeping an eye on that board will be more likely to know the answer!
BUMBY in Yorkshire (Leeds, Huddersfield, etc.) and Montana, and related names: SUTTCLIFFE, BENTLEY, MEADLEY, BARSTOW/BASTOW, MARSDEN ....
BROOK in Yorkshire (Elland area) and Montana, and related names: CROSSLAND, OXLEY, ARMITAGE ....
