Liverpool Fearnall 1935
« on: Thursday 25 February 10 20:25 GMT (UK) »
My late father was sent to Liverpool after his mothers death in 1933, I presume he went to live in a childrens home, he then returned to shropshire in 1945. I was wondering if anyone could help me find out his whereabouts between these dates please? I have been unable to find any information myself. His name was George Edgar Fearnall.  :)

Not sure if you would find any information on line as there is generally a 100 year rule  incase people are still living.

I cannot see that he would have been sent out of county for a childrens home

The only thing I can think off is that he went to stay with another member of the family perhaps and aunt or something I have looked on the freeBMD and there were Fearnall up that way

Thank you for your reply  :). I have checked with other family members and they say the 3 children were split up. One went to Birmingham, one to Hereford and my late father went to Liverpool. I find it hard to believe and distressing to be honest :'(. The family member feels sure he went to a children's home, no family as far as we know in Liverpool. Many thanks for your help.

try
www.yoliverpool.com register free and look for a genealogy link and post your request on the Liverpool site....maybe someone may have info for you....do you know which District of Liverpool George went to ??..
Geoge Edgar Fearnall b Sep qtr 1927 Bridgenorth Shropshire  6a 832 mothers maiden name was Taylor
so George was probably 5 coming 6 when he went to Liverpool (18 when he returned)
so we are looking for a kids home...(probably Strawberry Fields or Fazackerely)
or a household of Fearnall or Taylor

There are NO Fearnalls in the Liverpool phone directory re 192.com at present

Hi, many thanks for the advice. Yes, he would of been about 6 years old as he was looked after by neighbours following his mothers death in 1933. Then the children were split up and off he went to Liverpool. All I have been told it was liverpool but unfortunately they didn't know anything else about area. I will persevere with it, if I went to the Liverpool records office would I find anything there, I wonder? Thank you anyway :)
