COMPLETE Bough
« on: Saturday 27 February 10 11:20 GMT (UK) »
G'day Chatters,

From information I have received it would appear that my BUFF ancestor could also have been recorded as BOUGH.

Accordingly would or could SKS, if they have the wherewithall check for a marriage of a Samuel BOUGH or BUFF in the period 1812 to 1820 hopefully in Lincolnshire.

Many thanks
Rebelrouser

G'day Rover72,

Thanks for responding to my topic.

My apologies for not including the name of Samuel's wife.

Her Cristian name was Mary and the surname was generally referred to as BOGET but as can be appreciated their are many variances to surnames.

I do not know exactly where they were married.

What I have learnt at the time of her death in Australia is that her parents were Samuel BOGGETT and Susan LAYTON and here again I have not been ablt to locate a marriage for this couple. On the death details it was recorded that she had been married twice the first time to Samuel BUFF and that she was 18 at the time of this marriage.

From several records it has been estimated that Mary was born about 1798 which would place her marriage to Samuel about 1816.

Hope that this helps.

Regards
Rebelrouser
