Wrights Close, Lane End
« on: Saturday 27 February 10 18:25 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know when building first started on the first eight of these semi-detached cottages, please? And, who built them?
My neighbour was an elderly lady, Mrs Sybil Blach who lived in number 10 until 2002, and she insisted that her grandfather commenced the building of the roadside ones in 1903. Unforunately, she had dementia and was given a sheltered home in Marlow.
These were built roadside, and then in the 1930's, a further eight were built behind them.
Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The Archive Section in the Local Studies at Aylesbury (by County Hall) would hold maps for that time.  You will need proof of identity to go into the archives.  See
