Hi osprey,    i have the connection as Jane Green/ Baird married Anthony Couch in 1901 at St Ives,  Janes 1st husband John Baird left Jane after 8 years and went back to the North East. I do have William Couch Beard married to Peggy Williams Leddra. I am only seeking census out now for some of the family .   I appreciate all of your help.  Regards Gladys. :)

I have an interest in the Baird /Green family. You say John Baird went back to the north east but I was told by my family that he went from St Ives to the south coast of England for work and was killed in a horse and buggy accident. However I haven't been able to find any evidence of that. John Baird was from the Clydebank area of Glasgow, so I would have though he would not have returned to the north east anyway, but that's just my thoughts. best wishes, Ian
