Le Cras/Holmes Jersey Family Trees.
« on: Thursday 04 March 10 21:27 GMT (UK) »
I have traced my wife’s tree thru’ her grandfather; John Romeril Holmes 1892-1963 –g grandfather Simon Holmes 1841 wife Mary Ann Romeril 1852 - gg grandfather John Holmes 1806 wife Marguerite 1811 and have come to a full stop.

Similarly I have traced my wife’s tree thru’ her grandmother; Violet Gertrude Le Cras 1891-1978 – g grandfather Walter John Le Cras 1867 wife Mary Ann Caufield 1866-1941 - gg grandfather Henry Le Cras 1825 wife Mary Hamon 1842 and have come to a full stop.

Information concerning any linkage to the Le Cras’, Holmes, Romeril, Hamon, Caufield trees would be greatly appreciated.

Rob Tarry.

This is all sounding very familiar. Have you posted about this family before or did I do the research for someone else?
I'll have a root about in my notes and see what I can find

This is my very first post so it shouldn't seem that familiar. Any info you can provide will be much appreciated.

regards,

Rob.

In that case I must have done the research for someone else, the name John Romeril Holmes rings a bell. I'm away tomorrow for the week-end but I'll see what I can find next week.

Thanks for the info Raa.
I have so little info on the Romerils that I cannot as yet tie your Lilian or Frederick into our tree. I'll keep you informed if I manage it.

Hi Jerseylily,
Did you have a chance to root about in your notes? Any info on John Romeril Holmes, Le Cras' or Romerils would be much appreciated.
Regards, Rob
