Seeking info on Granby Military Barracks in Plymouth, Devon 1858/1859.
Would like to find any info related to Gunner Thomas Weir, Royal Artillary, who was stationed there.
Was there ever a census taken as i think one or two of his children were born there?

Sumner - Warwickshire
Morrall - Warwickshire

Soldiers living in the UK were included in the census. If you cannot find him in 1861 he may have been transferred overseas; or he is miss-transcscribed/indexed, or he moved to Ireland and that census has been destroyed.

You need a Devon expert to tell you which district includes Granby Barracks. And posting details of his family as of 1861 will help.
