William Alfred mason  married on March 23 1879 aged 21 years occupation labourer father William mason a mariner. his mother's name may have been Rosetia, can you help find his birth place or his family.

I'm puzzled.  ???

No English marriage certificate I have seen has a place of birth.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Do you have any particular reason for posting this on a Lincs board?  Hull is in Yorkshire. :)

People on the Yorkshire board are more likely to have Yorks resources to look things up in if required.

Are they on any UK census after marriage?

no they departed for Australia with Mary Ann's mother & stepfather ;Lydia  & Robert Willows arriving in Footscray in 1879. William & Mary had three children :- a son Robert Alfred & daughters Lydia Rosette & Beatrice Maude who died at 11 months  and Lydia died aged 23. Robert Willows was buried in South AFRICA IN 1889. The Lydia's & Beatrice are buried in the same grave at Footscray whilst Mary Anne died at Castlemaine aged 46 years.Note the English marriage certificate states that William & Mary Anne were aged 21 years in 1879. Re The census 1861 MA is shown with her grandmother William & LYDIA & ROBERT ARE NOT SHOWN.as Robert was a mariner it is suspected that both were at sea. IN 1871 LYDIA, ROBERT AND MARY ANNE  ARE SHOWN AS RESIDING AT Southcoates Kingstone upon Hull, 48 Lee SMITH St in electoral district of St. Peters. the MARRAGE CERTIFICATE dated 23/3/1879 SHOWS BOTH WILL & MARY RESIDING AT 6 EBENEZER P???  WEST DOCK Ave
