I have inherited a Family Bible and lots of photos belonging to my aunt's husband. The name in the Bible is John Meldrum born 1858. His wife was Christina and there are four children listed. My uncle came from Consett in Durham but it seems his mother's family were Meldrums and they came from Alvie and Abernethy. There must be someone out there who would love these photos or who has connections with the family. I think my uncle was an only child but his parents were not. I have found them in the Census returns but don't know how to find the births, marriages or deaths. Can anyone help?
