I'm Having trouble finding an Eliza Ann Wood Born 1877 Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England from the information provided by a family member, I even can't find her in the 1881 census and thats even more frustrating.

"extra information she was the step daughter of a William Ratcliffe Crowther" can't find a reference for him either"

Not sure whats going on here but if there is some sort of Crowther connection.
FreeBMD has this Marriage;

William Ratcliffe CROWTHER, June 1872 ,Huddersfield, 9a 585
On the same page is an Emma BROOK and Hannah SINGLETON

1901 census Alfred MOSS has a Mary E WOOD, Neice, aged 18, born c 1883, Holme Yks, living with him.

EDIT There is something strange bout Alfred as he only appears on the 1881/1891/1901 Census.

Thanks for the reply, Could be her I couldn't find a record on ancestry where she was born in Huddersfield but shepley sounds familiar, this raises more questions??? Than answer the existing ones, who is Alfred Moss ??.

Thanks for the reply, this is becomming like a daytime soap and creating alot of confusion why would my uncle mention this William Crowther fellow as he was very specific about him, but never as we know very little about her as she died young when she was in her mid to late 30's.

He's not a bigamist ?? Is he could explain this moss fellow.
