Hi,

What age was the person and where are they living?  What other occupations are shown on the page?

I want to read it as "pensioned".   :-\

It might be 'pensioneder' (i.e. pensioner)

Thanks bullywee.
I doubt it's pensioner or pensioneder.
She's 48....others there are in the lace and fabric trade.... eg; weaver, binder - lace, tambourer, (embrioderer)
So I'd be looking for something in that line.

Leonie.

Added; just noticed a stay-maker, so corsetry trade maybe??

I now think it says 'pinwinder' I tried googling it, and got quite a few hits as an occupation in various censuses.
