1871 census parish Bevington Liverpool

Hi

looking for a family called O'Brien - Son is William O'Brien who married 27 December 1874 in Parish church of St Alban, in the parish of Bevington , Liverpool - occupation Carter and aged 21 years ( married Elizabeth Jane Chapman)

Father is James O'Brien  - occupation carver and gilder -

Do you have William on the 1881 census - where was he born and does his birthyear confirm 1853 as per the marriage cert?

Is father James found on the 1881 census?

If You don't already have William on the 1881 Census, Here is the Ref:

RG11/3659. Folio 45. Page 33 (enumeration District 29), the address is: 68 Opie St, Everton.

Names listed:

William O'BRIAN.     28Yrs old, Carter
Elizabeth O'BRIAN.  27Yrs old, Wife
Wm Jnr. 4Yrs old
Sarah.  7Yrs old
Margaret.  1Yr old
Alexander. No Age Given (probably Months old).

It may also Help in finding the Right Death Record! (There were 8 James O'BRIENs died in Liverpool from Dec Qtr 1853 to Mar Qtr 1860 & 2 in West Derby Mar Qtr 1855 & Mar Qtr 1860)

The problem with deaths for that period is that no ages are shown on the index.

The GRO are withdrawing reference checking from 6th April which will make it very costly buying certs when you have multiple matches

Then we have to resort (If/When we can) to trawling through the Death/Burial Registers! ::)

Thanks for all of the information in respect of the O'Briens - it really has been extremely helpful. I have only just started researching the family so at the  moment have little more than your responses. So thank you again, and will try and find more on the 1881 census
