Re James Cahiil born abt 1880

Looking for a James Cahill born abt 1880 Ireland. Moved to Wales and married a Thorne 1902. Died Wales 1919.

Any info on his birth and parents would be greatlt appreciated. This is the only info I have on him, sorry and many thanks in advance!

You can search the Irish Civil Index online (see link below), but without a location it will be difficult to find the correct birth.

It would be worth looking for his marriage cert to see if you can find James' father's name and occupation.

Hi, amd thank you. I maust admit here that I made an error in his birth year it was 1869/1870. Sorry if wasted anyones time.

Many births from that timeframe (1864 to late 1870s) are included in the IGI (www.familysearch.org) ... which is worth a look as it also shows parents names which you may be able to match up with the marriage  cert for James. (Note that not all births are included.)

If James was still in Ireland in 1901 you may find him on the census for that year which is planned for release later this year.
