irfanview tipps Please

After trying about 6 photo editors to make it easy and quicker to add text to photos.I am now trying Irfanfiew firstly i can add the text and save,but when i go back to the photo the text has gone.Secondly the text is tweeny even on 18 as far as it goes, what am i doing wrong, Its supposed to be easy

"save" and "save as" are two different functions , one overwrites the file, the other saves it again, possibly in a different location. If, when going back to the picture your txt has gone you are probably openin the original file again and nnot the one you altered.

As for the txt size I usually write the txt in a txt program then copy and paste, a little experimentation with txt size should solve the problem

Yes I am  aware of that and yes i must have been as you said opening the wrong one ::)I have added the text to the photo but I am not happy with it,as with all the others you end up with loads of coppies of the same photo and it gets confusing.So I think I will stick with Paint and WordArt the latter i use Mostly to print Photos out .They are much easier to use than anything i have downloaded so far, and so many variations to add text & colours
