hello, are there any good websites that offer free family tree templates?

im looking to start again, i have a lot of info but also lost loads when my p.c. finally died,

Do you want to use a s oftwareprogramme? they a usually have free downoads (too late to say but keepa backup off the PC
Or are you eaning towards putting your info onine

I use a programme, but every so often print of some charts or booklets and file so there is a hardcopy and keep backups on USB sticks...so would only lose weeks or months and not years.

Yes, there are lots of good sites offering free family tree templates, if you accept that template means: a way of recording your information. There are:
Legacy
FMT
PAF
that I know of. I use Legacy and am very happy, both with the basic version and the paying one with super charts.
Have a look round RootsChat, there have been many discussions lately about which tree to use. Everyone has their own way of doing things so really you'll just have to download a few "free" versions and play with them before buying (if you want) the full version of what you like.
You know, I'm going to PM Berlin Bob to see if he can make a summary of all the discussions. They are so extensive and, I'm sure, so useful
