My greatx2 grandmother was recorded as born at Dormont Mill near Dalton. I have been to the house Dormont and seen that there are buildings associated with it that could have been used for an industrial activity but I wondered if anyone had any information about it. The family were sawyers and moved to New Abbey where the eldest son became the mill manager. The second son became mill manager at Annan, so I am assuming that the mill was a sawmill. (Their name was Calvert and they originated in Canonbie) Phyl
