Question about a surname?

Has anyone seen the surname Knelling while researching on the Isle of Man?

I just received a copy of a marriage certificate from Victoria Australia and it shows the mother of the groom William Callister as being Emily Knelling. I think it must be the interpretation by the register of another name.

Any guesses?

? Gelling (misread initial G) possibly Crellin but imo less likely - never seen Krelling

Snelling???  a name I came across in Somerset.
Abbott, Surrey&London. Criswell/Cresswell, Painswick Gloucestershire. MacKenzie, Midlothian&London. King, the Tarrant Valley Dorset&London. Foreman, West Ham. Peters, Bolney/Lewes Sussex&London. Sandgrove, West Ham. Sundgren,Sweden.

quick check on my database - probably Crellin and Wm bapt German  18330203 s/o Wm Callister + amelia emily Crellin - can be found in 1841 at ballaugh (actually should be Bollagh ) Kk German ; amelia is d/o Thomas Crellin + margt Corrin bapt Ger 18090604 and Wm senr is possibly s/o Sylvester Callister + Jane Crellin
any thing with a Manx Connection

I took a look at the copy of the certificate under a good magnifying glass and it could be Krelling. Someone's attempt at Crellin  ???

I got a few second opinions and it was 50/50. I would post the piece in question but its an extremely poor copy.

William Callister son of William Callister and Amelia Crellin seems to disappear after the 1851 census so maybe he did go to Australia  :-\
