marriage lookup please

Hiya
Can anyone find me a marriage for a Joseph Gunnell and Emma Moss, i know he was still at home Newton Wood in 1881. Then his daughter Elizabeth was born in 1885 and they were at Hyde. But i have searched everywhere and cant find the marriage.

I presume you are referring to 1901 but I can't see an entry

1891 has a Joseph Gunnell indexed as Grennell b Stockport 1861 in lodgings in Hyde - no marital status shown  RG12 Piece 2790 Folio 119 Page 20

Elizabeth is niece to the Moss's who she is with in 1891 census.

I cannot see a marriage sorry.

So are you assuming that her mothers maiden name was Moss??

Indexed as GENNRICH in 1891 and no amendment notified so no wonder I couldn't find her

She was b Hyde according to the entry.  Have you considered she could be the niece of Moss's wife Sarah - she would still be his niece by marriage but not his direct line?

What was Sarah Moss's maiden name

Where did you get Elizabeth's fathers name from as Joseph?

I think you need to buy a copy of her birth cert

There is a tree on Ancestry with Elizabeth Ann Gunnells birth certificate scan, showing Joseph Gunnell father coal miner and mother Emma Gunnell nee Moss, but I still cannot see a marriage.

Nor can I - and Joseph Gunnell is not to be found in 1901/1911.  No marriage or death on freebmd

I can't even find a Joseph Gunnell birth circa 1862 Cheshire, I can see him in the census up to 1891 but I am the same, zilch after that.
