Mehan family Carlow ???

I have previously posted on this site for my Great grandmother & after a notice in a local newspaper , he 81 yr grand daughter
has informed me that my G.Grandmother originated from Carlow. She was taken to Liverpool by an Aunty Maggie & thats all I have .

I dont have her exact birthdate but I do know that she was born in 1872 poss 1873  .

I have her Death certificate but there is no DOB or where.

Her fathers name was James Mehan .

The only records I can find for her on the internet are on the LDS site where the spelling is Meehan ,born 1872   
father James Meehan & mother Mary Flaherty .

Can anyone help me find her from this region or tips on how to find her .

It's already been explained that I.G.I. has some not all Irish births so there's a good chance that her birth is NOT listed there.

Ok , how would I investigate this record further . Sorry for sounding like a birdbrain . Or is it a brick wall for me
