Bastable Surname

Hi i have this about the Bastable surname and it mentions a will in Castleisland Kerry in 1670. Which is where my Bastable's originated.

Why was this move i wanted this in general as it applies to Bastable surname in General?

I moved it to KERRY board because you were asking about a Will from Co. Kerry  :)

Have you seen the entry under the Bastable surname in Jeremiah King's "County Kerry past and present" He mentions Arthur Bastable of Moyaliff Castle 1770-1780 and George of Ardcrone in 1750. King's book is online at

A lot of the early wills were destroyed in 1922 - Irish Origins (a pay site) has some wills available.
