Cremation/Burial Records for Lois May COULSON

Still struggling to find any record of death, burial or cremation for Lois May Coulson.  Last address I had for her was Beaumont New South Wales.  I know she probably died after 1982 possibly before 1989.  Found cremation record for her husband James Coulson 1992 at Shoalhaven Crematorium.  He was listed as widower. 

Have tried through several newspapers.  Even emailed a letter to the Sydney Morning Herald no luck as yet.  Shoalhaven bereavement Services have been very helpful by finding James records for me.  They couldnt locate any for Lois or May as I knew her.  The person who arranged James cremation lived in Nowra, but may not still be alive now.  Lois Mays maiden name was Swain. 

Have also checked a lot of the cemetries but no luck either.

Hi glenbo,

If Lois (May) was ill, her nearest hospital from Beaumont would have been Nowra, but if she needed specialist care then she may have gone to Canberra (as a lot of the South Coast residents do), or to Wollongong or Sydney. Her cremation may have taken place there.

Just a thought!

As the ACT records have been separate from NSW for a several decades now, Canberra might be the go.

Hello,

I am a grandson of Lois May Coulson...I was with her when she died.  Nanna died at the Wollongong Hospital on the 25th April, 1985.  James Arthur Coulson was her husband.

My mother was also at the hospital the night Nanna died and so was a cousin of mine, Barbara.

Nanna's children were Joe and my mother Betty May (both of Wollongong). (Now both deceased)

Thanks Judith, I managed to find out when Lois May Coulson passed away through my Aunt and know where she is cremated too.  Lovely that some family have posted on here.  Hope to get more information now.
