What's written beside the baptism?

Can anybody decipher what is written in the left margin(underneath the word Sept.). The entry I am interested in is the baptism of Mary Sheppard to William and Diana. I'm hoping that the writing relates to the baptisms as it is right next to it! I wish the writing wasn't so feint though. Any ideas anyone? I can make out letters but not words.

It looks to me something like ?? pd to Augt 1st inclusive - but what that means I have no idea!

A note for the vicar I think, nothing to do with that baptism.

Jaywit - I was hoping against hope it might give a clue to the father's occupation. This is from the Mortlake PR's if you remember the thread on Jane Chance/Sheppard/Nicholas....
