Black and white/colour photo
« on: Monday 12 April 10 13:19 BST (UK) »
I have recently managed to get my daughter's wedding photos off her to print on A4.
One of the photo's is of the couple (black and white) but with my daughters bouquet in colour.
Try as I might the resulting print comes out grey with the bouquet in colour.
(The photographs have all been taken by a pro using a large format digital camera (file size 20Meg tiff)
Could anyone offer advice on how to print out the above photo?

Or would I need to purchase an expensive printer that uses mutiple carts.
(To enable me to print 'blacks' using colour cart?

Not sure I quite understand your question....are you saying the only thing that prints is the bouquet, and the rest of the photo where there should be image just comes out a flat grey?

Brian, it's possible that the photographer has "locked" the image (if you have it in digital form only) to protect his/her copyright - and .tiff files are impossible to work on, anyway, until you can figure out how to save them as .jpgs.

I understand some photographers do this so that, if you want copies, you have to ask him/her for them - but I might be mistaken, and the interpretation of the law may be different from country to country.  I'll happily concede, if I've been misled.

What I was trying to put over, the 'black element' is not black, more like a grey colour.
The colours printing out correctly.
(I still think I need to get a multi cartridge printer, but for one image that is a waste of money)
