Please can someone help me...
                                                 I have a death of Daniel Herbert .b around 1801...Elizabeth Herbert..b. around 1801..  and William Henry Herbert.b  2 Mar. 1825...All buried at All Saints Hereford..all with the same reference number, HAS/016...does this mean they are from the same family..
Is there any way I can find out more. :)
I did have a thread on Daniel, but it was closed down before I found this..  Thank you. :)

I think it means that all the inscriptions were taken from the same gravestone, so I would assume that all your Herberts were the same family.

Thank you Spidermonkey, thats what I wanted to hear..but I know, not proof...Is getting a certificate the only way I can get further information.. or would the All Saints Cemetery have that...and, thanks m'dear for that...appreciated.. :-* :)

I'm trying to think where All Saints graveyard would be - the church is in the centre of town, and although it is still a church it is also a cafe/meeting space/art gallery!  Perhaps it would be worth contacting Herefordshire FHS to see if they recorded the MI in full, or whether they collected names and dates instead.

Hi Dalek, I was in Hereford today and nipped into the library to see if they knew where All Saints Burial Ground was.  2 librarians and I (and junior Spidermonkey!) had great fun rummaging through history of Hereford to find out.  Anyway, we came across a reference to All Saints burial ground being in Above Eign (which is now Whitecross Road).  We think that the burial ground was redeveloped in the 1990s and may be on the site of Bulmers factory.

I got a photocopy of the 1888 OS map of the area, which shows All Saints and the burial ground if you would like me to scan it and email it to you.
