Grandma needs a little tlc please.

Can grandma be improved please and can you date the photo? She was born in 1800 and died 1915.Thank you.

It looks around 1895 to me but I am a bit confused as you have obviously mistyped one of her dates and so I can't use her age as a pointer.  She certainly isn't 95 in the photograph.

From her age I think that 1905-10 is much more likely.  However I wish a little more of her clothes were visible as the lace collar, sleeves and her haircut together do not seem to fit with any date.  Do you know where she was likely to be living?

She lived in Sheffield.I have the original of her which is a handpainted portrait so will try and copy and download for you.Probably tomorrow if that is O.K.
