Looking for anything on the family of william burn rev of minton born about 1745 in northumberland died 22/2/1836 in minto,

Hello Gilbert

It was not William BURN himself but his wife Margaret OGLE who died 22.2.1836. William BURN died 9th December 1826. William BURN had married Margaret OGLE on 3rd June 1771, and they had 2 sons and 3 daughters.

It was William BURN who was responsible for the entry about Minto parish in the Statistical Account of 1791-99.

There is a 3-page article about him in vol. lX of the Border Magazine for 1904.

Is the surname Burns (as in the title of this thread) or Burn (as in the details Leslye posted)?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
